Godly Men of Valor (GMV) is committed to equipping men of God physically and spiritually. Godly Men of Valor is open to all followers of Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus the Messiah) who want to be equipped first in the physical then in the spiritual.
Learning tactics in the physical realm will help us as men to better understand the tactics used against us in the spiritual realm. By applying the techniques and tactics learned at these sessions, we will become better men, husbands, fathers, priests in our homes, and warriors in our land. GMV encourages men of all fitness levels to attend.
Humility is demonstrated by leadership, instructors, and attendees at all times. These seminars are to be a place of refuge and acceptance. May we be as effective defensively as we are offensively, being peacemakers first and Godly Men of Valor forevermore.
GMV INSTRUCTORS
Steven Gardner-CKM Level 4 Instructor, WHM and GMV founder
Steven is a husband of 20 years with 7 wonderful children. He served in the US Army and was deployed to Honduras, Jordan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq (Desert Shield/Storm in ’91). In 2011, Steven was certified as a level 4 instructor by founder and chief instructor of Commando Krav Maga, Moni Aizik. His interest in CKM was fueled by his desire to be able to defend his wife and children in a fallen world. In addition to CKM, Steven has trained at Front Site near Las Vegas, Nevada. Steven has realized that learning the balance between physical defense, spiritual defense, and trusting YHWH is the only way one can live at peace in a chaotic world. We must never stop learning, regardless of our environment or situation.
Johnny Medero-CKM Elite Team Member Level 8 Instructor Art of Heart Founder and Chief Instructor
Johnny is a firefighter for Miami-Dade Fire and Rescue in Miami, Florida. He is also a certified Level 8 CKM instructor and an Elite Team Instructor who teaches CKM all over the world. Level 8 is the highest level attainable in CKM, and it is a rare opportunity to train with such a high ranking member of the CKM team. Johnny has combined his love for Yeshua with his extensive martial arts training to form Art of Heart. Paul taught that we must first understand the physical before we can understand the spiritual. Johnny teaches one how to fight in the physical using CKM techniques as well as how to fight in the spirit with the understanding that we battle not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces.
(The following information was taken from http://www.commandokravmaga.com/html/combatsurvival.html)
“Commando Krav Maga (CKM) is considered by many experts to be the most evolved and effective Israeli hand-to-hand combat system in the world. Founded by Moni Aizik, a former Elite Commando of the Israeli Special Forces, Commando Krav Maga is the ultimate reality-based system engineered for the most brutal and vicious street confrontations. With its no-nonsense approach and straightforward practical moves, CKM prepares you for the unexpected with techniques that can be utilized effectively under pressure. Commando Krav Maga is not a traditional or sport-based martial art. There are no competitions, rules, or regulations. Instead, CKM is a reality-based system designed for the primary goal of survival.”
The nuts and bolts:
Guys should wear comfortable athletic clothes for physical warfare days (i.e. non-binding pants and a tee shirt), and comfortable street clothes for spiritual warfare days (i.e. polo shirt and jeans). Be sure to bring a notebook or notepad for taking notes each day.
Physical Warfare: (Let the fun begin!)
Art of Heart, founded by Johnny Medero, is the foundation of our physical warfare curriculum. Art of Heart uses many of Commando Krav Maga and Systema techniques for the basis of its physical warfare training, however, the central difference is the focus on shalom. It is our desire to avoid conflict if at all possible. We do not desire harm on our adversary, however, if confrontation is unavoidable, then we make sure we are the one going home to our family. AOH or CKM is not founded in Asian martial arts, and as such we do not bow to each other. The movements and techniques are not associated with religious practices or motions as found in traditional martial arts. The techniques are simple and straight forward thus enabling one to perform them under pressure.
Techniques covered:
GMV 1: Handgun disarm (360-degree head and frontal plane), Knife defense and disarming, punch and kick defense, grappling.
GMV2: Handgun disarm (GMV1 pre-req: back and sides), Hostage knife defense and disarming, punch and kick defense concepts, grappling concepts.
Spiritual Warfare:
With a broad range of subject matter, each GMV may have slight variations in content. However, some of the primary points of teaching will address, spiritual oppression, the influence of spiritual forces on our daily lives and our family, what can open the door to allow spiritual attacks, how to be a king and priest in your home, and much more. You will want your notepad for this day of training. We attack issues like pornography, addictions, and forgiveness.
Soul Warfare:
Linking the physical and spiritual realms is our soul; our mind, our will, and our emotions. The most important aspect of all GMV training is understanding how soul warfare effects every aspect of our lives. It is also the hardest to learn and apply consistently and effectively. GMV instructors will help you learn how to use the tools you have been given by our King and Savior, Yeshua (Jesus).
GMV is in the process of being established as a not-for-profit organization.
GMV T-Shirts and other GMV paraphernalia may be made available at GMV events. Proceeds from the sales of these items will be used for GMV operations.
How to support GMV:
You may choose to give a one-time gift or you may choose to partner with us by giving a recurring gift each month. Even a small recurring gift of $5/month adds up, and it will help us have GMV conferences all across the country.

Patty, I am so sorry I didn’t get this email in my inbox and respond sooner. I am just seeing this email tonight. The conferernce was held in Murphy, NC.
When is the next one and is there way to ensure I get notified by email a couple months before? This would allow me to get things arranged for travel etc.
Alisha, there are two ways to be informed. Subscribe to this website, and the other is to follow us on Facebook (Godly Men of Valor).
Hello all,
I’m a Seabee Vet of 5 years, and know Cole Davis. Very interested in what you guys are doing, I’ve had the same calling mentoring young men 18-25, teaching these kids how to work, stepping in where fathers have let them down. My wife of 13 years, is a Messianic Jew, took us a while to find like minded people. I will talk more with Cole about the ministry, but would like to help anyway I can.
John Phares
John, we are also on Facebook. Godly Men of Valor. I typically respond fast via FB PM.
